Moments
In 2001 while on a scholarship in England I explored the idealised landscape in twelve English Landscape Gardens of the18th Century within half a year. I went from Sussex over Wicklow in Ireland to Yorkshire. What I was interested in was to see how nature was contrived, with its spaces, vistas, relationships, how paths are made to wander, with here and there some section of the park purposefully left to itself, and then the whole arrangement integrated into its environment.
I took my inspiration from the picturesque views and went off the indicated paths, noting who came to visit these lonely, hidden places, what happened in my presence around me, what relationships grew among the objects and how these relationships changed, recording of moments.
