Orientering
Study year in Bergen, Norway 1998-1999, excursion to Tromsø
Taking in the Norwegean landscape opened my senses and gave rise to a subjective cartography and reflection of my environment. On my walks I noted down my personal impressions and feelings concerning the dimensions and proportions of the organically grown structures of country and town. The change of angles and heights played a role by my studies. The horizon, mostly hidden by mountains and islands, furthered my intention to build an overview over this area. I reflected my impressions of this environment by means of diverse materials with wire, cement and drawings. Being concerned with the nomadic view of landscape and cartography in Northern Norway, during a scholarship for Tromsø, amplified my perspectives.
